GPA 3.45 LSAT 168 - Northwestern?

Post by christinanc93 » Fri Oct 23, 2015 3:07 am

I am a lesbian Latina. I have a very good personal statement and diversity statement and several wonderful letters of recommendation. I have studied abroad, and held a few leadership positions including one right now, and I intern with the DA. I have never had a full time job, though, and my numbers aren't as high as I'd like. What would you say my chances are of being accepted at Northwestern? I applied early decision and it is my first choice school. How about Cornell, Berkeley, or UVA? I'm applying to Stanford as a reach school....but I know that is a stretch. Do I have a shot at any of these?

Well your numbers are probably not good enough to get into NU ED because they give $$$$ for ED acceptances. However you are at the median for LSAT. That, plus the interest showed by applying ED should give you a solid shot at regular admission. Because you're at the median and not above it, you might be waiting awhile before acceptance. I actually have very similar stats and this is just the information I've been told. Best of luck!

Cornell & Georgetown are likely to accept you. But, you need to apply to all law schools of interest to you.
