4.0 GPA, What Would I Need on the LSAT for Notre Dame?

Post by 180orDie » Sun Oct 04, 2015 3:33 am

White male and went to Catholic high school if that matters. I have a 4.0 from UIUC. What am I going to need to pull down on the LSAT to have a good chance of getting into Notre Dame?

This is the wrong question. The correct answer is to get the highest score you possibly can and go from there.

mylsn.info says that 160 might do it, and 165 would basically be a lock.

...STEP 1) Study non-stop for the LSAT.
...STEP 2) Score a 173+ on the LSAT.
...STEP 3) Snag a full ride to CCN or attend one of HYS.
...STEP 4) ...Profit?!

Seriously, why would you want to attend Notre Dame over Columbia on a full ride...?

If you want to go to Notre dame your goal should be an LSAT where you will get a full ride.

Graduating in 2018? South Bend isn't so bad.

Not sure where these random bumps came from, but Notre Dame can be a great school depending on your circumstances. Kill the LSAT and give yourself options.

The OP went to a Catholic high school. Perhaps there are religious reasons for attending ND?

There's better Catholic schools if this is even their reason (it shouldn't be).

Based on your post history you're probably looking at your PT scores and wondering if you can make it happen in December. You still have plenty of time to study up to a 170+ if you're not there yet. If you aren't consistently hitting that by the December test, take another year. It's worth it!

I mean, I would not pick a Law School based on religious affiliation, but I can see it being a reason. Not everyone has the same priorities, although I do know ND PhD students who were told to get their JDs elsewhere by the ND Law School faculty instead of getting both degrees at ND.

And there is no Catholic school as large as ND that is anything like it, trust me.

After going to UG at the largest Catholic school in the nation, trust me, religion isn't that important if it was hardly a thing at my school. You can find affiliation groups at any university you attend.
