How Accurate is Law School Predictor.com?

Post by RamTitan » Tue Sep 22, 2015 10:16 am

Is anyone familiar with this website, and if so, how accurate do you think it is - http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com/wp-co ... ograms.htm?

All it takes in consideration is your GPA, LSAT, and minority status. However, those are the three most important factors, so I figure it would be pretty accurate. For example, my GPA is 3.67, and my (practice) LSAT score is 169. It says reach schools for mew are Columbia, NYU, and Chicago. Target schools would be Penn, UVA, Duke, and Georgetown. Safety schools would be Washu, USC, and Emory. Does that sound right?

Inferences from the past regarding the future are never certain.

Sure, they're never certain, but can they be a reliable indicator?

If you are under the school's median GPA, which you are for t14, you need to be at least above (maybe at) the median LSAT to feel ok about chances.

Either way just score as highly as you can and then see what your options are.
That sounds like fair advice. Thanks!

I had a 3.7 and a 164 when I applied a few cycles ago. It was really accurate (if a bit conservative)-- I got into nearly all of my matches/safeties and got waitlisted at a few of my reaches.
