URM cumGPA 3.58 LSAT 163 Military Veteran

Post by LAborn » Fri Sep 04, 2015 1:50 am

Also, I have an upward grade trend. My Academic Summary Report from LSAC shows my GPA trend( 2.06 /3.85/4.0/4.0 then transfer to UC 3.61/3.67) Are top 20 schools within my reach? My dream school is UCLA but I know my chances are slim to none. If I have no chance at the top 20, any recommendations for target schools?

Edit: If it matters, I am Mexican American

Not any more. I used all my benefit terms.

Ah, that sucks. I still think as a URM vet you're probably only a handful of points away from UCLA with money, though.

I'm also a vet with low numbers trying to get into a couple of reach schools. I'm retaking LSAT in October. I have a UG GPA of 3.72 with a LDAS GPA of 3.4. You asked about GI Bill benefits. I am 100% GI Bill eligible. Does this play a part in the decision process?

It does insofar as even if you wouldn't have been eligible for a large scholarship at a top school due to your GPA, your GI Bill/+YRP will cover tuition and COL. Take the LSAT seriously, and good luck. :)
