My real question is whether or not I should study more and retake the LSAT in October. My first choice school is Columbia. I would love to get in and I would love to get in with a scholarship even more. I've taken the LSAT twice, so I have another retake. I also cancelled that first score (I took the test blindly because I'm an idiot and was an entitled asshole who thought doing well on the SAT without studying = doing well on every standardized test without studying).
So - what are my chances at Columbia? NYU? Other T14 schools? Retaking to get a higher score would require a lot of studying, which is difficult for me because I have two jobs and little time. I missed 2 in both LR and RC and 3 in LG, and I was honestly amazed I missed that few in LG because typically on PTs I would miss 0-1 in LR and RC and 5-6 in LG. So studying I guess I would focus on LG still, but try to perfect LR and RC as well.
Sorry if I posted this on the wrong board, and thanks for your input.

If you know you left points on the table (not -0 on LG is leaving points on the table) then it very well could be worth it. Only if you have the time to commit to making sure you do better on the next take though. That said, with your stats right now you're looking at some very good $$ offers from the T14.

I could commit the time but it would mean changing things in my life financially, as in moving to a cheaper apartment so I can pay rent while working less. I'm trying to decide if it's worth it.

http://mylsn.info/hm0074/ This is what you're looking at currently.
With a 173/174 you'll be looking at...http://mylsn.info/tc7k5i/
I would go for it if I thought there was a good chance I'd improve.

I agree with Bortles, there is no harm in retaking and getting 175+ could make a big difference, but I just want to point out a good example of taking these numbers with a grain of salt. According to the above links, your chances at getting into Penn and UVA actually drop upon increasing your LSAT score... Notwithstanding cases of YP that information is BS, so anyway take that FWIW.OhBoyOhBortles wrote:http://mylsn.info/hm0074/ This is what you're looking at currently.
