Re: Two cancels
It depends on what your canceled scores would have been. If you hadn't canceled you could have seen the answer sheet and what you got wrong on the test. There's not really any advantage to canceling IMO.mynameismyname wrote:I'm an aa male with a 3.2-3.3 gpa and a 168 LSAT score. More accurately I am a cancel/ cancel/ 168 candidate... Im applying for the 2016 cycle and I'm curious to find out if I screwed myself with my cancels. Also, I need advice on where I should apply. I'm currently gathering LORs and writing personal statements. Any good advice would help. I canceled because one test I took with very little prep and the other I had too much trouble with 2 logic games in the set.

Re: Two cancels
If you're worried about being judged negatively about having cancelled twice, I don't think you have anything to worry about there. There are a few live threads on this forum which were started by past admissions counselors taking questions; you might poke your head into one of those and see if this question has been brought up; they'll almost certainly either tell you nbd.
With your scores and as an aa male, I'd consider applying pretty widely: the bottom half of the T14, and though many might say the odds aren't worth it, if I were in your shoes I would absolutely apply to all of the T14 except for Berk, Stanford, and Yale. This is even more true if you happen to be eligible for fee waivers (they saved my butt personally).

No. I had a cancel, 166, 169, and another cancel. Here's how I did:mynameismyname wrote:I want to go to a T-14. I will probably apply to every school 1-14 plus Vanderbilt, and U of Texas. Do any of these schools in particular punish you for too many cancels. I will submit an addendum stating the same.

Don't submit an addendum for canceled LSAT scores.

Only Y may care about multiple takes, no one else does. Harvard says on their website now they just consider the highest score.
Good luck with the retake

Would you apply Ed to Northwestern for the potential full ride if you were me?

No harm in applying, I'd think though you might need a higher LSAT to get that, although with a higher LSAT you'd prolly be looking at the T6 so you should consider that too.mynameismyname wrote:Would you apply Ed to Northwestern for the potential full ride if you were me?
