GPA: 3.8
LSAT: 171
Softs:
CPA,CFA, 3 years experience at slightly prestigious professional services firm
Published writer (I wrote a horror story that was picked up by a publishing company)
Competitive bodybuilder (LOL, wasn't sure if this should be relative at all... maybe hard work/dedication)
White male

You should get into most of them, and with good money from some lower T14 schools.
Columbia is doable.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Do you think I have any shot at HYS? I realize the LSAT is a bit low for them, but I feel like my experiences are pretty unique. I'm assuming no shot, unless an LSAT retake.

Pretty sure you're below both medians at all three. That + white male = retake for hysgatsby1991 wrote:Thanks for all the replies guys. Do you think I have any shot at HYS? Re: Do I have a shot at the T-14?
The published author/bodybuilder combo does sound like it could make for an interesting application, so it isn't impossible, but honestly being below median for both LSAT and GPA is a lot to come back from. If you want a realistic shot at YHS you have to retake.gatsby1991 wrote:Thanks for all the replies guys. Do you think I have any shot at HYS? I realize my numbers aren't HYS level, but I feel like my work/other experiences might help (a little).

Y is a pipe dream for most people so I wouldn't count on it.

Re: Do I have a shot at the T-14?
I would apply everywhere. IIRC Y took something like a 152 a couple years ago and what I heard was their only great soft was being a published author. There may have been something else, but I think it's a unique enough soft where it's worth the app fee with your numbers.
If you really want HYS and you strike out you can always retake.
