Strong chances in the t14. Definitely apply to them all, perhaps with the exception of yhs
Gpa is obviously a setback but 6 years in the marines should definitely mitigate it (at least I would f$&%ing hope so)
Thanks for your service and good luck

Thanks for your service. Data suggests you have at least or greater than 60% shot at Cornell, Georgetown, Michigan and Northwestern. Be sure to have a very compelling application that clearly explains why you want to be a lawyer, from your LORs, personal statement, etc. Also, it's essential you write a "Why X" statement to every school you apply to in the T14. I imagine you'll get in to each of these schools if you do these things.

good luck.

Check out the Veterans forum, also. Lots of good info there. I know there's at least one TLSer (also a Marine, if memory serves) that leveraged his service to outperform his numbers and got into Berkeley.

Don't sell yourself short on the application cycle. The vet boost is very real. I was waitlisted at GULC with much lower stats and in at UCLA. Do you or will you have a rating from the VA by the time you apply? If so, look into Voc Rehab. If not, go get a rating and then look into Voc Rehab. I would be shocked if you came up empty after blanketing the top 14 with those numbers.

Yes, you'll get some of the T14. Are you Post 9/11 eligible?
For reference, I had the same GPA and a 168 LSAT, and was an Army officer. Got into UVA, Northwestern, and GULC. Didn't apply to Cornell but should have just for negotiation purposes. Also got scholarship money at UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Texas.
If you're Post 9/11 eligible and don't need to worry about money, I'd think about EDing UVA.

Yes, you'll have solid chances within T-14. I did 4 years USMC, have similar numbers, though slightly higher, and was in from UVA down within T-14, with $.
I also had terrible first-year grades, and a strong upward trend. I included an addendum, and would recommend it for you as well if you have any compelling explanation for the upward trend.
Edit: Yellow-Ribbon and Post-9/11 GI Bill are excellent as well, and I believe most (if not all) T-14 provide complete tuition coverage if you rate both.

Great shot at the T14.
Do you have ties to SoCal or Cal?
If not, UCLA with big $$$ is probably a good choice.

I would be very surprised if you didn't into at least one of BVD and I think you have a real shot at Penn.
