http://mylsn.info/e2kljp/# just add some gpa wiggle room - looks like it gives a simple (though not very pretty) picture for you. Looks like at best 50-50 shots at some of these schools, depending what 3.7x is and other softs
Others are gonna say it and i'm sure you know it but the best thing is really to retake. You've got a great GPA, you can do far better than these schools at cost.

My gpa is above the 75th for BC and LSAT is above the 25th so I would think id have more shot there than at bu

Also, don't assume government jobs are somehow easy to come by. Most state and local governments aren't exactly flush with cash to hire new prosecutors/PDs, and federal jobs are very, very competitive, and you're competing against people with pre-law school experience in government. If you just know you want "something government related" you really need to do a lot more research into what exactly you're hoping for and what a realistic path to get there is.
The good news for you is that your GPA is very solid. Go study for a retake. Good luck.

First, absolutely need to retake.
Second, there is a pretty solid shot PSLF will be capped (at a level that would not be helpful for this kind of debt load). Google it. But even if it stays the same for the next 14 years -- big assumption -- it's not something you want to have to rely on for reasons mentioned above.

163, lower GPA. In @ Wake with a good amount of money from last cycle. I think you'd get in.Localig wrote:Hey TLS community, can you guys chance me at these schools:

I'd retake if you still have any chances left. You have a good shot at UCLA money if you can bump that score up.

This was my third take --I would have to wait until next year for the next one.
More specifically, I was wondering what my chance at BC would be... I know the advice here is retake, but for now I've exhausted all my retakes. Should I consider applying to Ucon as well if I have ties to New England

No, you should not. You should wait until you have the opportunity to retake, and find a job in the meantime. Or you should find another career path.Localig wrote:This was my third take --I would have to wait until next year for the next one.

Going to UConn is a terrible idea essentially under any circumstances. Attending any of these other schools with these numbers would be both indefensible and irresponsible.

Friend with a 162, 3.2~ was looking at 20k from BC last cycle. CoL + Tuition is still a lot.Localig wrote:This was my third take --I would have to wait until next year for the next one.

Had to have been. I had low T14 numbers and BC gave me, IIRC, 15K per year.scottidsntknow wrote:Was friend an URM?Shirosham wrote:Friend with a 162, 3.2~ was looking at 20k from BC last cycle. I don't know about the East Coast schools, but probably not UCLA with that LSAT score.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
