3.75/175
Hey all, just had a quick couple of questions regarding my situation and any help or insights would be appreciated.
The main reason I am posting here is because I transferred from a community college to UCLA and while I graduated from UCLA summa cum laude with a 3.98 GPA, my community college grades (health issues) brought my total GPA down to a 3.75.
I was wondering if my improved grades at my degree issuing institution will matter at all. The schools I am specifically interested in are Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Berkeley, and UCLA.
Main question: Will my low GPA ruin my chances at Harvard/Columbia?

Re: 3.75/175
law schools only care about your LSAC gpa. So your gpa is in fact 3.75.
For you chances at Harvard and Columbia look up mylsn.info or lawschoolnumbers
ETA: scooped

This is a bad list of schools to be interested in.whiskey314 wrote: I was wondering if my improved grades at my degree issuing institution will matter at all. The schools I am specifically interested in are Harvard, Columbia, NYU, Berkeley, and UCLA.

Oh yeah OP, I would blanket the T-13 and toss in an app at USC and UCLA with the intent of only going to those schools if they are full ride, intend to practice in the LA area, and are aware of their employment stats and relevancy to your career goals.TheUnicornHunter wrote:This is a bad list of schools to be interested in.whiskey314 wrote: I was wondering if my improved grades at my degree issuing institution will matter at all. Re: 3.75/175
Words cant express how similar our situations are haha. Its been consistently stated to me that all they see is the 3.75 but the upward grade trend could help us a very small amount. But by no means are you out at columbia or harvard. You're still above both columbia medians

I was under the impression that my stats qualified me as a splitter for Harvard.Kratos wrote:Great info ab your chances here

Thanks for the feedback! I hope the upward trend will help, even marginally. Fingers crossedHat.trick wrote:Words cant express how similar our situations are haha. Not really a splitter. Splitter is like a 3.6. Your GPA qualifies you as a marginal chance at Harvard, like 50/50, but there's not really much anyone can say that will give you more help than LSN.whiskey314 wrote:I was under the impression that my stats qualified me as a splitter for Harvard.Kratos wrote:Great info ab your chances here

Why the T13 distinction? might as well be t-12 then since Michigan is almost on par with GTsesto elemento wrote:Oh yeah OP, I would blanket the T-13 and toss in an app at USC and UCLA with the intent of only going to those schools if they are full ride, intend to practice in the LA area, and are aware of their employment stats and relevancy to your career goals.TheUnicornHunter wrote:This is a bad list of schools to be interested in.whiskey314 wrote: I was wondering if my improved grades at my degree issuing institution will matter at all.
