Have there ever been any recorded instances of prelaw advisers giving not even good advice, just not-wrong advice? Half the posters on TLS would be better TLS advisers than paid university faculty.

Tell your adviser he/she is an idiot as you show them your acceptance letter to HYS/scholarship offer from CCN.

You definitely have a shot at HYS (esp. HLS) and will get some money at a lot of T14 schools. Exactly how much money will depend on the quality of your WE and softs.

My pre-law advisor told me I needed to go to the local law school, Ranked by US news as outside of the top 100, because applications higher than that are a waste of money for me. She basically said that the top 100 schools won't accept students if they haven't worked in law firms as paralegals or interns. A friend of mine who posts on here said she was completely wrong and that I needed to ask you guys your thoughts on my chances before I gave up. He said he thought I could have a hypothetical shot at even HYS.

So here are my questions. I feel like I could get a lot of need-based aid, and HYS are my dreams. What do you think of my chances there? Are they completely impossible? Also, what do you think of my chances of admissions and scholarships are at the rest of the top 14? Do you think a full scholarship could be possible?

I guess OP asked two general questions. Whether he had a shot at T-14 admissions and if he had a shot at T-14 with money. True, OP asked a dumb first question so I guess you're right. Has your internet ego been stroked enough?

I've always considered the posters who link to that stupid gif complete assholes. The OP said there wasn't many people on law school numbers, so stop being pricks.

OP, I'd say you're right at the cusp of HYS. You're below their 25ths in GPA, but you're at their 75ths in LSAT. It's really going to depend on how you put your app together. As far as scholarships, no one can predict $$$, but I feel you will get some money.

There aren't enough people because you have to play around with the different ranges rather than just putting in your specific #s. it's a fucking estimate, to help you figure out where to apply, not an accurate predictor of success.
