Chances of t14
I'm currently a second year student. My first year gpa was 3.25 and my law school application gpa of 3.33. what would be the minimum gpa and lscore I need to get into t14 law schools. I'm aiming for nyu and Ivy League law schools. My undergrad uni is good and my major is one of the most competitive programs available. But I know that my gpa is low but I want to know if I at least have a chance at t14 if I work really hard now. I would be an international student (from Canada) if that makes any difference

Mylsn.info is not working for me
, I have to guess here. I'd say 175 is a good bet, assuming your GPA does not get lower as you progress into your major courses.

mylsn isn't pulling up a ton of data, but if your gpa stays in that area then I would say a 172 is about where you would want to be to have a decent shot at the lower t-14s including Cornell. For NYU and the like, I would say that a 174-175 is right about what you would need to net. However, just go to mylsn and plug some numbers in there, see if you can raise that gpa up a little bit. If you're only in your second year you've got plenty of time, focus on getting good grades from here on out and the rest will come.

First of all, I am going to be harsh, dont make excuses for your crappy GPA, you have 3 more years to fix it.
It sounds like you go to UT, and probably major in some sort of sciences, is not that hard. I had a bad GPA first year as well, but I ended up over the 75 percentile GPA at every school, so yea, focus on that first.
Secondly I wouldnt set a dream LSAT score yet, focus on your GPA, then look at some practice exams in the summer and see what you are capable of first.

Not sure why people are responding past this point. Enjoy college, get better grades, and start trying to figure out if law school is really what you want to do. For what it's worth, I had a 3.3 gpa and I go to a CCN.Thattorontogirl95 wrote:I'm currently a second year student. \

lower than that, id say 170 would get a few lower T14.imKMart wrote:Mylsn.info is not working for me, I have to guess here. I'd say 175 is a good bet, assuming your GPA does not get lower as you progress into your major courses.

I had a 3.3 gpa or so going into my Junior year of UG. I'm currently a 1L at NYU.
Relax, get good grades the rest of the way, and do well on the LSAT.
