3.2, 155 (waiting on a retake score) Lewis & Clark?

Post by Owl-yote » Tue Sep 30, 2014 6:46 pm

Lewis & Clark is quickly becoming my top choice as far as schools are concerned. I took the LSAT December 2013 (scored a 154 after a little bit of self-study), June 2014 (scored a disappointing 155 thanks to a monster logic game and nerves), and I just took the September 27th LSAT (I feel alright, didn't get thrown for a loop like last time, so I'm hoping for a 156-160). I graduated in 2013 with a 3.3 (3.2 according to LSAC?) GPA and now work for a Bay Area county as an eligibility worker. I'm getting nervous with applications coming out, but I plan to have mine in within a week or two (before I get my September score/ before the 22nd). Do I have a shot?

median dived to 3.34 this year (though you're still below it -.14)
lsat held at 158 (-3 on median)
so i'd say your chances aren't very good

that's great news
because that will prevent you from going to lewis and clark

lewis and clark has a 46% LST employment rate minus school funded (52% with school funded mixed in)
and a 27.2% underemployment rate, which is shockingly high
this means that of the students who graduated from lewis and clark last year
roughly half of them did not find full-time legal employment
and roughly a quarter were temping, doing non-professional work, or outright unemployed

the debt-financed cost of attendance is $240,847 at repayment
with your numbers, were you to get in, you would almost certainly be paying sticker

Aim for 170.......very learnable exam

( i got the same exact 154 by taking the exam too early and now I'm aiming for a 170+)

You will get there if you put in the effort

Unless you've got a 3.7+ GPA and a 170+ LSAT, going KJD will never be a good decision.

However if you've got a 3.7+ GPA and a 170+ LSAT while still in college, you're clearly brilliant and will have better options than LS so KJD is still probably not a good decision.
