chi not likely
less than a coinflip at penn, they're pretty gpa focused (ed seems to help with lower gpas at penn, but don't do it unless you're rich)
in at gulc

TFA is a good soft.Nekrowizard wrote:I don't think anybody's gonna care about any of your stuff except for the 3.37/171. I think Chicago/UPenn chances are slim. Although I do think that at Chicago ED actually does give you a boost, so that might be your best shot, if you absolutely must go there and don't care about mountains of debt. You could retake to give yourself a slightly better shot.
Don't ED Chicago.
OP, play around with MyLSN.
I would apply broadly from Chicago on down (you can skip Berk if you wish). Unfortunately, Chicago loves their high GPA's but you may catch a lucky break.

also, if you underperformed the first time around, not a bad idea to retake
worth a shot
don't worry about the possibility of scoring lower
you're out at hys so it won't matter

Thanks all. Does it make any difference that I was accepted to Chicago as an undergrad and my dad is an alum?
Def not rich and certainly not trying to pay sticker. Any chance of $$ at Georgetown?

Not really. Legacy isn't a big consideration in law school.secadc11 wrote:Thanks all. Does it make any difference that I was accepted to Chicago as an undergrad and my dad is an alum?
Georgetown is very stingy with money. You will get better offers from schools higher up than Georgetown.secadc11 wrote:Def not rich and certainly not trying to pay sticker. Any chance of $$ at Georgetown?

does your dad give a lot of money to the school?
if not, no on both
gulc is pretty stingy
i wouldn't hold my breath on $$, but it's possible
you'll have better shot of getting money out of nu i think
two point boost on the lsat and you have a shot at everything except hys + chi + boalt

Again, thanks for the replies.
Last question --- which school(s) in the top 25 or so would you expect someone with my stats to receive the most $$ from?

A retake would probably help with Chicago. But you're also probably better off going somewhere else that will likely give you more $ anyway.

Thanks all! I took the LSAT again this past weekend so we'll see if that makes any difference.
