Shooting for HLS- 4.0 GPA Cornell, Master's from Harvard
I'm pretty confident with my numbers but I'm wondering if I might be shooting myself in the foot with the following:
I have literally zero internship/work experience. My letters of rec will likely just be average. I also plan to take the LSAT in December.
^^^ Will any of this seriously negatively affect my chances?
Based on current test prep I expect a score around 170-173.

The Master's is enough soft to be adequate. Y and S may look down on you for not having cured cancer or whatever but with a mid-170s score, even those two are in the running. Come back with a real LSAT

If you're so worried, why not get work experience? It may not help admissions, but it will help you in finding a firm job later. Especially if you happen to not end up with the best grades.

You should be able to get an interesting enough job with a 4.0 from Cornell, I would use that before it becomes a totally irrelevant number.

How have you lived so many years of your life without working at all?
It'll likely be a marginal hinderance for your admissions, but I can't imagine that it'll play well when it comes time to seek employment (OCI or not).

not really a chances thread
your HLS chances are between 0% and 100% depending on your LSAT
so go focus on that
did you already graduate?
if so, why no job?
maybe get on that too

Get a 168 and go to NYU, Berkeley or Penn
Get a 170 and go to Columbia (partial scholly) or Chicago
Get a 172 and go to Stanford or Harvard
Get a 175 and win the lottery and you might go to YLS
Or get a 168 and go to Duke or Penn on a full ride
Oh and take a year off to see the workd or get some work experience- not for the resume, but because it's a really good idea.
Think about whether you need want a scholarship, where you want to practice, and what you want to do before deciding where you HAVE to go,

Not true, a girl told me just last week how mad she was to have missed out on an HLS slot to a legacy admit without LSAT qualifications.baal hadad wrote:With no LSAT score your chances are. 0%
