Which GPA on the LSAC report do Law School mostly consider?

Post by MattM » Tue Aug 05, 2014 12:05 pm

Hello,

I recently turned in all my transcripts and saw my Academic summary report and I saw two GPA's listed one was the Degree Summary GPA (3.5) and the other one was Cumulative GPA (3.54)…..which one do law schools care about more? the difference between the two GPA's is that i started off at a community college my first year and took 2 classes at a community college this summer.

I'm hoping its the 3.54 that counts so that I have a better chance at being a splitter at a T14 ….If I get enough A's this fall I can push it to a 3.6 to also have a little better chances at a T14 ( I'm aiming for a 170 LSAT in December, 168 now)
