Chicago's full ride comes with a generous living stipend, which makes it probably the best financial possibility out there in the entire law school admissions game. If you put together a good application, you should have your choice of full rides in the T14 including the Ruby at Chicago, the Hamilton at Columbia, and the Vanderbilt at NYU plus many others. Your numbers are absolutely spectacular and I'd imagine more than one school will do everything in their power to get you to enroll. Best of luck and congratulations on what will be an awesome application cycle.

Don't underestimate the fact that for every 100,000 people who take the LSAT each year, you did better than all but 200 of them. Also, unlike you, not all of those 200 have a GPA that's commensurate with their LSAT. The combination of a 3.97 and a 177 puts you up in pretty rare air, K-JD or not.

Law school is a big enough decision that you should take enough time off, or go through enough cycles, to make sure you get one of those options.

Yes, tens of thousands of people take the LSAT every year. Very, very few of them score as high as you did. Mix that with your outstanding GPA and the number of people in your position is even smaller. Having said that, you are correct that massive scholarships from great schools are not necessarily going to just be handed to you. However, you are in an optimal starting position.

With regards to the domestic student vs foreign student dilemma, I highly doubt schools care either way when it comes to scholarship offers. If anything, they have more incentive to give you $$$ because foreign students can't get government loans (I think? Don't quote me on that). I will also recommend that you should negotiate with schools if you don't get the amount of money you want somewhere. I bet if you went to pretty much any school in the T14 and said "I really want to go here" they would make it work for you (except Georgetown was remarkably stingy from what I have witnessed and personally experienced). Also, the person who said you should go to Chicago or Columbia or Yale meant you should go to Chi or Col for free or just go to Yale. Yale doesn't give merit based scholarships.

I am assuming in my analysis that you will put together a good application in which you come across as likable and have a solid reason for wanting to pursue law. Obviously, if you come across like a total jackass then this all goes out the window. Just be smart in your apps and you will be fine.

In another thread we're discussing how great numbers don't necessarily mean big scholarships or acceptances across the board (http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 2&t=232245). You'll certainly get at least a couple amazing offers, but without good softs you might not get the scholarships you'd expect, and you'll need to watch out for yield protection (i.e., lower-ranked schools rejecting you before you can reject them and hurt their acceptance ratios).

Speaking of softs, would you guys consider working at a law firm and being a student athlete, as well as serving a minor role in student government good softs? Like, I dont really get it ha. I feel like everyone's resume is huge and mine isn't nearly as big because im still at UG

most people's resumes aren't that impressive. more importantly, work experience does not trump grades. Don't worry about it

This is how I'd look at it based on my what I've read and heard from past applicants: On a 1 to 10 scale, those are like a 3-4. But softs will only hurt if they're a 1 or 2 and only help if they're a 9 or 10, so don't worry about it.

Blanket the T14.

With your numbers, you'll likely receive merit-based fee waivers at most of the T14. Especially if you follow the instructions laid out in ATL's law school admissions FAQ:
