166/4.0 (4.13 LSAC GPA A+ considered) What should I do?
Umich Undergraduate
I just got my score to day, about to cry.
Should I apply? or retake (I don't know if I can make it this time)? or do both?
Should I do ED?
I don't know........

You know what to do. Retake for 170+ and enjoy your full rides at half the T14.Fighttotheend wrote:Umich Undergraduate

mylsn.info
play around with that website and the fact you should retake will be painfully obvious to you.

I tried really hard this time. 166 may just be my potential. I'm not a smart person. Apply early might help?ymmv wrote:You know what to do. Retake for 170+ and enjoy your full rides at half the T14.Fighttotheend wrote:Umich Undergraduate

Study harder. Get a tutor. Retake.Fighttotheend wrote:I tried really hard this time. 166 may just be my potential. I'm not a smart person. Apply early might help?ymmv wrote:You know what to do. Retake for 170+ and enjoy your full rides at half the T14.Fighttotheend wrote:Umich Undergraduate

If all that somehow fails - and it probably won't - ED NU and try for the mythical full ride. If next cycle is even less competitive than this one you might also get decent money from Cornell and a few other T14s with your current numbers.
But seriously, retake.

Yes. Supposedly they sometimes accept ED full rides, but I've yet to see it happen. If I had to guess wildly I'd say you have the numbers for maybe 50% tuition scholarship at a few lower T14s and strong regionals at best. With a retake you could have cash showered upon you.Fighttotheend wrote:NU= Northwestern?ymmv wrote:Study harder. Get a tutor. Everyone accepted ED at Northwestern gets a $150,000 scholarship. It's not a full-ride, but it's close. I'm not sure they've confirmed it will be available again next cycle and I wouldn't be shocked if they raise it to $165,000.

Right, what I meant is that I've not yet heard of anyone actually getting accepted ED. I'm not convinced it happens at any appreciable rate.Mullens wrote:Everyone accepted ED at Northwestern gets a $150,000 scholarship. It's not a full-ride, but it's close. To be honest I start to doubt myself for the first time. I don't know if I can do any better with a retake. I thought I didn't do too well this time, but this score is too low compared to my estimation. So this might just be my score. I've done all the preptest twice/three times already. T.T

What kind of law do you want to practice? Where do you want to practice? What's your background? Do you have work experience? What is your UG degree? Do you have a family/dependents or are you a lone wolf? How bad is your UG debt? Do you have any savings?Fighttotheend wrote: To be honest I start to doubt myself for the first time. Beyond saying "retake" there is little advice I or anyone else can offer without more information.

I did and there was at least five other people on TLS who did this cycle. I don't think it's possible unless you're at or above the LSAT median though.ymmv wrote:Right, what I meant is that I've not yet heard of anyone actually getting accepted ED. Yeah I think I should strongly consider retaking it.
