Re: Notre Dame
Throw it in, apps are down. Are you willing to ride the WL?
EDIT: Also, if you're willing to relocate to the Midwest, why not throw an app at Iowa? They give out full rides to URMs on the regular. At least there you'd minimize debt.

Re: Notre Dame
LSN says you have a 40% chance of getting in. Knock that down to, say, 1/3 for the criminal charge. If you get in, it'll be at sticker. Going to Notre Dame at sticker when you have no ties to the Midwest is idiotic, but you know that already. But hey, at least you can put your problems on hold for three years at the very reasonable price of 200k in debt.

Think of the latina hunnies in Iowa. Also, negotiation purposes.DaRascal wrote:Submitted!

Probably, yes. You're applying really late, and as far as I know you have no softs to speak of. Now you have a criminal charge to explain, and a big gap of nothing since graduating undergrad. I could be wrong.DaRascal wrote:TheSpanishMain wrote:LSN says you have a 40% chance of getting in. If you get in, it'll be at sticker.
I know I got WL'ed last year but my Why Notre Dame essay was terrible imo and I just went to mylsn and both Hispanic URMs who got accepted with identical numbers got $15k a year. Do you know how much damage I could do if I could get in and get even $15k? I'd live like a Buddhist monk!![]()
You really think it'd be sticker if I got in?
The best advice for you is still to delay law school for a few years and go mature. Also, maybe some meds. Couldn't hurt.

Hahaha....you're either really oblivious or actually, a pretty funny troll. Much respect with the flag futbol.DaRascal wrote:
Hey, but I finally got that job! The bank gave me a conditional offer but reneged after a background check because of the harassment charge, but the supermarket (retail) job came through. I feel like you're right, but maybe a school like NU will be impressed and see maturity when I can hold a job for as long as possible!![]()
Meds, haha, funny, well I do have softs but they're just college clubs. My team won the flag football title at my school last year and I played a key role with a lot of interceptions and the break-up on a 2 point conversion that would have forced OT to propel us to the title game.
Btw, you do realize when people talk about WE as it relates to NU they're not talking about bagging groceries, right? They're talking about post-college, professional experience. If a 16 year old can do it, it's not the kind of WE that's going to help.

Banks are dinging you for your past but it still sounds like you'll be able to sit for the bar?
That's an honest question.

Oh, I know but the real world is tryna keep a poor rican down. I've been applying like crazy since last spring (with the documented breaks in between) and this is all I've gotten. I applied for Teach for America last January and they probably lit my application on fire. I could have been big time there lol. Anyway, the way I see it is after a month or so of working here, I'll have more leverage to get a professional gig because they'll see I'm working my way up... hopefully...

Please go to a trade school of some kind. Become a welder or an HVAC technician. Enjoy steady employment, good paychecks, and no post-law school unemployment with 200k in debt.
