Post by lucky#13 » Mon Nov 18, 2013 6:32 pm

wondering what range of schools people thought i should be aiming for, i know the gpa is low but im hoping the high lsat could put me somewhere in the top 40 range; thoughts? im hoping for miami where i did my undergrad and where id be a third generation legacy, i dont know how much that helps.

You're competitive at the lower T14, a reach at MVP, and $90k+ to schools like WUSTL and UMN.

Aim higher than Miami unless you're 100% dedicated to the region and they give you a large scholarship.

You should definitely be aiming way higher than Miami. Even if you do receive a large scholarship, watch out for stipulations. I have heard that they section stack.

From Miami you'd be getting a full scholly, no doubt. Know some people who went and they have 161ish and they have 65k schollys, and another with 167ish, and they got a full ride.

Definitely apply higher! That LSAT is way too good to waste.

You should be looking at the T14 but if you absolutely want to work in FL at least take a full ride at UF/FSU over a full ride at Miami.

This is fact. UF / FSU > UM, even if you plan to return to Miami to practice.

low gpa splitter checking in (176 lsat).

Expect a somewhat random cycle, but there are fewer good LSATs out there these days, and schools that want to maintain their numbers need students like you.

I went to CCN, thoroughly enjoying it.
