Re: 3.05/173 -money or Columbia possible?
Apply, in this order:
RD to Northwestern and Georgetown.
ED to NYU. If that fails,
ED to Penn. If that fails,
ED to UVA. If that fails, hope one of your RDs came through.
You are unlikely to get any money with a GPA that low.

I had a 3.05 and 172 last year. Was waitlsited at Columbia and Chicago (even got a skype interview at Chicago) and the only school in the T14 I was flat out rejected to was NYU. ED Penn with those stats was a really safe bet last year. ALso: mylsn.info is your friend.

there was not a single accepted student with a GPA that low at CLS last year.
The lowest was 3.2, and they had a 178 LSAT.
Still, Penn and UVA are your friends. You'll get in to one of them I bet, and northwestern with your WE.

Really? Dang, even UChicago accepted someone with a 3.04.jbagelboy wrote:there was not a single accepted student with a GPA that low at CLS last year.

I should qualify: based on LSN. It's perfectly possible a non-TLS/LSN individual was admitted with those numbers, but we wouldn't have any way of verifying it.Iroh wrote:Really? Re: 3.05/173 -money or Columbia possible?
I can verify at least two non-URMs at CLS with a GPA in the 3.1 neighborhood. Both had a 175+ LSAT and an Ivy UG, and even such they are lucky to be exceptions to the general rule of a GPA floor of 3.2ish. Per LSN, the average LSAT of someone accepted at CLS with a < 3.5 GPA is a 176. A non-URM being accepted with OP's numbers would be absolutely unprecedented.
