162 LSAT 3.34 GPA - Where should I focus my efforts?
I have a 162 LSAT Score (1 take, I can retake the February one). I am currently working as a software developer, so the December one will not give me enough study time.
3.34 GPA, BS in Computer Science and Engineering.
Where should my focus be while applying to law school? Thanks!
P.s. I don't know if this is important, but others have been reporting it. So... I will do it as well. I'm Indian (India).

Focus your efforts on retaking, even if it means a year off.

I don't have a chance anywhere? Should I apply and take the February LSAT, let the schools know that I am taking that LSAT?

I'd retake first then look into maybe going to school next year.

Why would you go to law school if you have a CS degree and you're a working software developer? Seems like a terrible ROI for you. You'll inevitably be surrounded by people with far less earning non-law power and you're locked out of the top 4 or 5 schools, simply because you studied a rigorous subject.
If you are committed to law school, definitely retake. Hit Northwestern for a little cash and ride that IP wave as far as you can take it

I understand how my score and gpa would lock me out of the top 4 or 5 schools, however how does studying a rigorous subject contribute to that?jbagelboy wrote:Why would you go to law school if you have a CS degree and you're a working software developer? I am committed to getting my law degree. I want to practice IP law and hopefully get a chance to do some charity work with my law degree. I am aware that I can keep working as is and still make great money (It is good money and very stress free). I still want to get my Law degree.

He is assuming your GPA is a result of your major and not some other factor. I have faith that maybe you didn't try your hardest as well. I'd retake if you really want to go to law school. I tried going to law school for 2 years with a 160. I studied for a bit and got a 168. My options are much better now. You could have that too!
