3.9/169 - scholarship chances? Forum

Hi all,

3.9, 169 (original: 161, retook about 1.5 years later). PBK and other honors from solid undergrad institution. Liberal Arts double major. 2 years work experience, 3 strong recs (2 profs, 1 employer). Strong PS about work experience. Wrote the Gtown option essay, but no other supplemental essays.

Admitted at Georgetown, UVA, Duke (SP)
Pending at Yale, Penn, Vandy, UCLA, Stanford

What are the chances any of them offers scholarship money? UVA isn't giving estimates until January, which is kind of frustrating, and the Gtown admit was just a letter... I'm hoping for some admits at other places that I can use to leverage, but you never know. (And yes, I know a 1-2 point LSAT bump could make a scholly difference, but I had no intention of retaking).

Any info/advice is helpful! LSN is all over the map in terms of $ for these stats and schools.

Probably the best idea is to find some scholly recipients at the schools you're looking at and ask them. Although I don't know if they will have a good idea either. My reaction is that you've already gotten in and done all that you've can, why not go out and relax a little?

is there a reason you arn't retaking? 2 more pts would make you competitve at H and put you at or over the lower T14 75ths (ie increase your chances of $$$). each addl point could realistically be worth 30-40k here

Any reason you are ignoring all of NYC, Chicago/midwest, and Cal in your school selection and this analysis?
