I originally took the LSAT in Oct but, unfortunately, things did not go as planned and I ended up canceling my score. I'm retaking in December and am anticipating a score in the low to mid 170s. (I'm at 170 right now)
I have a 3.6 UGPA from a prestigious private school in the midwest with a dramatic upward grade trend. (I changed my major going into junior year and maintained a 3.95 GPA for the last 2 years) I also have a year of full-time work experience post graduation.
My question is this: what are my chances of getting into a T14 school with applying so late in the cycle? Would it be more advantageous for me to put off applications until next cycle? Staying at my job another year wouldn't be ideal, but I can if it would put me in a much better place.

I'd recommend staying at the job and applying early. I did the december lsat thing with low 170s and about 3.5 and underperformed.

December is not actually considered "late".

Even if you apply in January with a 170, you'll probably get into a T14. You're probably good for ED to UVA, if you really wanted (not recommended though).
Come back with your December score and we'll talk specifics. We can't really give you much with a "mid 170s" PT range.

I agree. I would wait until next cycle to maximize your chances at $$. By all means apply this cycle, but he ready to wait a year.FlanAl wrote:December lsat doesn't come out until january right? I'm pretty sure january is late and by tls standards post november is definitely not great
