URM?
Regardless, wait til you can retake it again. You're wasting your GPA with that score.

Probably out at all. Sorry ;/ Even a 160 would significantly increase your chances at all of these school, including Cornell. 158 is just too low - if you were in at WUSTL you would be paying sticker.
You may have to wait until you can retake & reapply in fall 2014.

It cannot hurt to apply! Many schools have part-time programs with somewhat lower medians that you could be competitive for

Not these schools. PT only makes sense for working professionals who will receive a substantive boost in their current career/at their current workplace from a JD. Its not an effective means of breaking into the field, especially with so many full time T14 grads looking for workgrungy89 wrote:It cannot hurt to apply! I am also applying to Loyola (los angeles) and UC Hastings. Do I have a shot at those schools? Are they worth going if I am accepted?

No, that is probably the hardest market in the country, and these schools are cabbage. The drop from Cornell to Loyola in terms of employment is an absolute joke. Just retake the LSAT. You are going to be in 200k job and working retail when you could have not been a lazy prick, and made a life for yourself. Even if you were top of the class at these places, you'd still have to be an excellent interviewer.dkh wrote:I am also applying to Loyola (los angeles) and UC Hastings. Do not go to law school with your current score unless you want a 50% shot at practicing law and making 40-60K.
