As seen above, what LSAT score do I need to get into HLS, Stanford, Yale?

Also for Columbia, NYU, uPenn?

Decided to take in Dec because not ready for October.

172 seems like a fair guess for H. Y and S are never guaranteed for anyone. For the others 170+.

Id really aim for 173 if you're serious about Harvard. At 172/3.8 you'd be below both medians with inflated majors, so you'd have to showcase something else in your application.

Thank you all for your replies! I do appreciate it as it gives some perspective as to what I need to attain. I wonder if you can help me with these further questions.

I was planning on taking the October one but was ery inconsistent with my scores. I would get anywhere from 13-20 wrong each time, which leads me to believe that there are certain sections I'm not getting. I have decided to get private tutoring to up my score to that 173+ level. Should I still take the October one anyway or will it look bad having a potential 160 score in my records? Is it better to just do December? And how does taking it in December affect my chances? Do you need a higher LSAT score compared to the other?

Unless you are consistently PTing over 170 (which it doesnt sound like you are) I would sit out the Oct exam and just do December

This doesnt mean you should wait to apply, especially for Harvard. They will just take your score as soon as it comes out after new years

Getting a 180 on the LSAT will give you the best chance at all of these schools as long as you write a Why X essay for Penn.

Do you mean he should apply to Harvard before getting an LSAT score? Doesn't an application have to be 'complete' before it will be reviewed?

I'm taking for the first time in October but all other parts of my applications are complete; do you think I should send those in now?
