Absolutely, Retake.
Your GPA is in the Range where your options start getting exponentially better with each extra point. As for when, it depends on your personal level of preparedness needed to consistently PT in the mid 170s. Coming in at 167, I think you could be ready in october. But, if you're planning to apply next year, or have some doubt, then wait.

You should be able to get a few bottom T-14 acceptances with your current numbers, but TCR is December. GL.

You could nail most lower T14s now with medians dropping.
If you want big $ or N/PV, Id retake for 170.
