I'm planning on retaking the LSAT in October, but I was wondering what my application strategy should be in the following scenarios.
Some background - I'm currently a little over one year out of school and am currently working at a consulting firm. I am planning on applying in mid-November for the class of 2017. I would prefer to take on as little debt as possible (and I have some savings and hopefully will have some assistance from parents), I am not debt averse should I end up in a school with a very good chance of big law (i.e. UPenn)
As I stand today, I have a low 3.5 GPA, two previous scores of 170 and 169, solid recs, and some work experience. Given my preferences above, what should I do in the following scenarios (i.e. what is my "safety" T-14 school that I should apply to, what is considered my realistic "reach," which school to ED)
Scenario 1: Status Quo (LSAT 170)
Scenario 2: Raise LSAT to 171-172
Scenario 3: Raise LSAT to 173-174
Scenario 4: Raise LSAT to 175-176
Scenario 5: Raise LSAT to 177+
I understand that a lot of this will be opinions and conjecture, but I'm interested in knowing your thoughts
