Re: Looking to ED 170 and 3.81
Why not parlay those scores into a free ride at a school that is near T14. Are you really anxious to blow $250K on a perceived insurance policy? I just finished an SA with HYS cohorts and they are all distressed over their loan debt. Debt free is good!

1) Don't ED.
2) You're not getting Columbia with those numbers.
3) You have a VERY good chance of getting a full ride at Northwestern if you ED there, and even if you don't ED there, will still get lots of money.
4) You'll almost definitely end up on the Harvard waitlist. If you can retake and get up to a 173, Harvard and Columbia with a lot of money become strong realities.

There is a very big difference between a 170 and a 165, but yes, there are law schools that would give a full ride (generally minus room and board) to a 165/3.8. There might even be some decent ones. I'm not knowledgeable about non T-14 schools but check mylsn.info.jaylawyer09 wrote:Wait.. law schools actually give full ride scholarships for people with a 3.8 and ~165?Why not parlay those scores into a free ride at a school that is near T14.
I bet that doesn't include room and board.

OP do you have a 165 or a 170? In the 165-172 range, 1 point can be the difference between a 30% chance of acceptance and an 80% chance of acceptance.
