169/3.76 lgbt, somewhat unique major -- how likely is T14?
I'd like to go straight on to law school after graduation, but I feel like I've got some shot at T14 schools with my numbers & softs. I'm a junior now, and will be abroad fall of senior year, so this is, for all (of my) intents and purposes (i.e., not taking LSAT abroad or Feb.), my last chance at LSAT for this cycle.
Next June could happen if I don't get into any T14s and choose not to attend some back-up like BU, Fordham, or Notre Dame instead of trying again.
I've basically ruled out HYS and don't intend to apply. For the other 11 of T14, how's it look?
-3.76 (linguistics, philosophy, econ)
-169 (getting a 170 on a retake will NOT be easy, but doable... let's just say I'm lucky I didn't get a 165 this time around)
-lucrative part-time business career
-2 "meaningful" legal internships.

Thanks!

What's the rationale for searching the range 168-170, instead of just 169?? On those searches?
EDIT: I get it.. for more data points..?
I truly can't get a straight answer on this: does lgbt ==> URM? Maybe not a "full-fledged" URM, but more than just another soft? Or just another soft?
Thanks

Not at all. If it provides material for a good diversity statement, that may help.

Given the ease of this past cycle, Id put you in, perhaps off the WL, at NYU and down with Cal being a tossup. In with $ at Duke and NU. Life is simpler when you can aim below median.

If you get a 165, dont settle for wherever you can. Redouble your efforts, get a job, study hard, and take it a third time. You can get 170+ and settling for less is a bad career decision.
