3.0 gpa/high 160s practice diagnostics, chances? Forum

Gpa slightly above 3.00, and while I haven't yet taken the LSAT, I am scoring high 160s....


Now, by February 2014 If I take the LSAT and score 170+ along with my gpa a little above 3.00

What would be my chances of getting accepted into a Top 50 law school with a 3.0/170+ if I apply late in the 13/14 cycle to schools with March and April deadlines??

I call this a bad plan.

You should apply early. NU/Gtown/UVA are quite possible with 170+. Applying late in the cycle will hurt you, though.

Either do Oct LSAT and submit apps after you get your score, or do Feb LSAT and apply in 2014-2015

Why not study now, and take Oct? or at the latest Dec?. Feb is only a good move for the following years cycle.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I was planning on taking Feb 14 and applying to 20145/15 cycle all along, but I am already I guess feeling old at 28, and thought if I also tried to see if I got accepted 13/14 cycle (what would I have to lose?) so would any schools in 13/14 cycle still be accepting of someone with a 170+ even if its late in cycle?

I guess only $ and time, the two most valuable commodities in life, but we each have our own priorities I suppose so YOlO

Apply early, not late. Don't waste app money. You'll handicap your own chances at better schools. Study like mad, even take the June LSAT I'd you're not ready by feb cause you want to max out your LSAT potential.
