3.5 GPA/175 LSAT
Hi, I'm a rising college senior at MIT who has a 3.5/4.0 GPA in engineering and received a 175 LSAT in February 2013.
Given these scores and some decent softs, would I have any chance at the Top 5 law schools?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Good shot at Columbia or NYU.

3.5 engineering at MIT? May I ask why you are going into law? It seems like you are going to be missing a big opportunity in an industry with high potential by going to law school with your pedigree.

I really don't see you doing THAT much better than your numbers would indicate just because of the MIT GPA

HYS literally accepted 2/40 applicants with those numbers... so make of that what you will. But it seems like you're in at CCN... you might want to look into law schools a bit more, as "Top 5" isn't really a thing, unless you're realllly trying to snub NYU (which I would be okay with)
As a side note, how are you "rising?" I too want to rise...

Rising means he just finished his junior year and will be a senior next year.As a side note, how are you "rising?" I too want to rise...
Dude take some summer classes if you still can. Like 10 of them at an easy community college and get your gpa up as high as possible. You probably need to hit 3.6 to have an outside shot at H, and a higher gpa will get you more $$$ at CCN. Good luck!

Yes, do that if possible. Then think about actually being an engineer for a couple of years at least. You'll be more attractive to legal employers with WE.jetsfan1 wrote:Rising means he just finished his junior year and will be a senior next year.As a side note, how are you "rising?" This. If you want law school, take easy community college or Internet classes, get your GPA up by .1 (or more) and apply to H and below.jetsfan1 wrote:Rising means he just finished his junior year and will be a senior next year.As a side note, how are you "rising?" I too want to rise...
