I'm a longtime reader, but first time poster here. I graduated from an HBCU with a liberal arts degree back in 2011 and I've been working full-time for a startup (not a sexy one) in Silicon Valley since then. My gpa is pretty low mostly due to unfortunate family circumstances, plus I worked full-time through out undergrad, so I'll definitely need a gpa addendum.
Would love to know what you guys think about my chances in the top 20? Also, should I retake the LSAT?

Literally the only thing holding you back from an acceptance to every law school in the country is your GPA. I'm not sure how that will affect your admissions cycle, but I'd be shocked if you did not get at least one of YHS and some serious dough at CCN on down.
I'll defer to others who are more knowledgeable on recent law school admissions criteria, but several years ago during the height of the law school rush you would have done just fine.

I think you're in at the T14 and probably in at 2-4 of HYSCCN and one of HYS. http://myLSN.info/159cyr Note that the search is for all URM's, and as an AA you're probably even better off.
Your LSAT score is so high that, unless you were routinely PTing in the 178-180 range I wouldn't retake. Personally. I wouldn't be surprised if others disagree, though, particularly because there aren't many disadvantages to doing so.
Best of luck!

You've easily scored in the 99.9th percentile of AAs who took the LSAT, so you've definitely got that going for you.
Edit: Quoting fail
I completely agree with this.LSATSCORES2012 wrote:I think you're in at the T14 and probably in at 2-4 of HYSCCN and one of HYS. http://myLSN.info/159cyr Note that the search is for all URM's, and as an AA you're probably even better off.
