You're in luck in that your undergrad GPA is what really counts. At most the MBA will hurt you at Yale/Stanford, but even then not likely much.

If your undergrad was outside of the US or Canada, however, even that won't actually count. If your undergrad was in the US or Canada, however, then that 3.9 is stellar and a 99th percentile LSAT should get you in pretty much everywhere. Hit a 177 or higher and take your pick comfortably; hit a 170 or higher and still be nearly a lock everywhere.

Thank you! Yes, the undergrad is from a US liberal arts college. Have strong extracurriculars and work experience so was hoping the weak MBA performance is overcome at HYS. I am doing well on practise LSATs. If i get a strong LSAT, should I expect scholarships at any of the top law schools?

You really should come back when you have actual numbers but you will need a 170 to be competitive at CCN and below and 172+ for YSH and full rides at the rest of the T14.

The short answer is yes. Of course they may consider your mba gpa but most likely, given that they report the UG gpa, they won't make it a factor. With a 174+ you're looking at good money from t7-14 and a 177 + would be money all over the place.

Your MBA GPA will probably hurt your chances some at Y and S. Shouldn't have much of an effect anywhere else.

Why don't you take the LSAT, then give us your score and GPAs? (range is fine if you don't want to give exact numbers)

I don't know if by high GPA you mean 3.9x or 3.7x and if by low GPA you mean 2.5x or 3.5x.
Your chances also vary based on your LSAT. For example, a 4.0 GPA with a 3.5 Masters isn't getting into any T14 with a 160, whereas a 3.5 UG GPA with a 2.9 Masters GPA and a 175 could get you into several schools

I'm sorry that got deleted by mistake. 3.9 UG Gpa, 3.0 masters and LSAT not taken yet but will post it when taken.

For Yale and Stanford it might hurt your chances, but if your LSAT is high enough you may as well throw them an app.

Reverse splitters are treated less favorably than regular splitters, but your masters might help in that respect. Either way, get your LSAT to 170+ and you'll have plenty of options in the T14 (many with money)
