167/3.69
Hey yall, LSN is a little limited this cycle given the craziness of application volume. If you could give me your guesses on each of these, I'd appreciate it.
Non-URM, will have completed an internship with a financial services (banking) firm the summer before. Fairly good softs and good letters.
Michigan
Virginia
GULC
NU
Cornell
UCLA
USC
Minnesota
Notre Dame
ASU
BYU
Utah

Michigan - Out / WL
Virginia - Out
GULC - 50/50
NU - WL
Cornell - In / WL
UCLA - Out
USC - In
Minnesota - In w/ $
Notre Dame - In w/ $$
Retake 3 points for MVP and below. A couple more points for CCN.

Awesome, thanks. Got a waiver from Duke this morning, but I'm guessing out?

No waiver, do you think it's worth the fee?

thanks, applied. also considering umn because of the jd/mba program (no gmat!). should i expect $ there? seems like that would have been a safe assumption in past years.

I would expect somewhere in the $40k range from GULC, Cornell, and Michigan.jimmy_dean wrote:thanks, applied. also considering umn because of the jd/mba program (no gmat!). should i expect $ there? seems like that would have been a safe assumption in past years.

It's great to see someone else on here applying to BYU, OP. You're definitely in there. You'll probably get a decent scholly for the U, too.

Re: 167/3.69
GULC and Michigan accepted exactly 0 167/3.69 applicants last year and this year so far. Cornell accepted 7/12, but none with money. http://myLSN.info/gpufesnebula666 wrote:I would expect somewhere in the $40k range from GULC, Cornell, and Michigan.

He'll be lucky to get into Michigan at all. Michigan is not going to give a dime to a non-URM below both medians.nebula666 wrote:I would expect somewhere in the $40k range from GULC, Cornell, and Michigan.jimmy_dean wrote:thanks, applied. also considering umn because of the jd/mba program (no gmat!). should i expect $ there? seems like that would have been a safe assumption in past years.

I feel like those numbers are off for GULC and Mich, but what about Cornell? Assuming I get in, what does the hivemind think my scholarship odds are?nebula666 wrote:I would expect somewhere in the $40k range from GULC, Cornell, and Michigan.jimmy_dean wrote:thanks, applied. also considering umn because of the jd/mba program (no gmat!). should i expect $ there? seems like that would have been a safe assumption in past years.

Based on previous cycles I don't see you getting any money from Cornell either. There's very little precedent for it anyway - I'm only seeing one scholarship offer in the past 5 years from Cornell for somebody with similar numbers to you: http://lawschoolnumbers.com/TRFan/jdjimmy_dean wrote:I feel like those numbers are off for GULC and Mich, but what about Cornell?
