I realize it's a bit late in the admissions cycle, but these are my stats:
LSAC GPA: 3.5
LSAT: 156 (1st attempt, dec.)
Ivy UG: Econ. (and poli sci minor)
URM (south america though. from what i've read on TLS, this may or may not get a significant boost compared to Mexican/PR)
Softs:
- 2 Years WE in NYC by the time fall '13 starts (iBanking analyst for top firm)
- Internship with fed gov agency
- Leadership positions in comm. service and investment clubs while in college
- 1st generation (first in family to attend college, again, not sure if this gets a boost at all)
Schools I'm applying to:
NYU/Columbia (reach, I know, but what the hell)
Fordham
Cardozo
Brooklyn Law
American U
GW
GULC
UFlorida
UMiami
BC & BU
UC-Davis
Loyola (LA)
Tulane
Re-taking isn't an option, as I'm set on starting this fall. Worst case scenario, I'll take my chances and transfer out after 1L. But hoping URM status, Ivy UG, and WE count for something!
Thanks in advance!!

Youre not a URM. http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 14&t=35568
Attending law school with a 156 on 1 attempt is extremely short sighted and unwise.

It's worth noting that several of the schools on your list are being sued by recent law graduates:WarrinBuffet wrote:Schools I'm applying to:

It's also worth noting that your chances for admission this cycle are greatest at these schools.
Leaving an ibank analyst job in NYC to pay sticker to attend any of the schools on your list that you have a shot at being admitted to would be the equivalent of shooting yourself in the face--but instead of dying, you'll just be saddled with $300,000 in medical bills. The incident will cost you your job, and you'll spend a few years in recovery, hidden from the real world and unable to work. And after you recover, everywhere you go to apply for a job, from NLJ250 to McDonald's, they will ask you why you left your last job and/or why your face is so disfigured, to which you will respond with "I decided one day to shoot myself in the face because it seemed like the best thing to do while working a well-paying, cushy job in manhattan."

First, you are not a URM. Second, Brooklyn law and Cardozo are not even probably reachable for you. Retake or don't go.
