3.78/3.67 GPA, 159 LSAT...Loyola/Hastings
I'm not going to retake. I'm 27 and am going into music/entertainment law. I feel like my GPA, work experience, recs, and unique background should help me get into these schools. Thanks!

Then why even make this thread? sounds like you're announcing rather than asking.bnghle234 wrote:I'm not going to retake. I'm 27 and am going into music/entertainment law. I feel like my GPA, work experience, recs, and unique background should help me get into these schools. Thanks!
You'll probably get into Loyola, and a decent shot at Hastings. You should re-evaluate your career goals before going to these schools, however

Well stop the presses, you want to go into entertainment law. I'm sure two schools in California have never seen that type of applicant before.
What do you think "entertainment/music" lawyers do?
Oh, retake.

Personally, I would retake...although there's only so much you can do at a certain point.
I know someone who got into Loyola with a ~3.45 and a 158, presumably off the WL. So if you want to go to Loyola, there's a good chance.
