Please help with evaluation 3.0 170

Post by ibankingboil3r » Thu Nov 15, 2012 9:16 pm

3.0 chemical engineering GPA from purdue
170 Lsat, 720 GMAT(probably doesn't matter)
28 yrs old (in about 1 month - currently 27)
No real upward trend was 3.0 and pretty much stayed there. did work full time/started businesses in school.

Started successful business that somewhat runs itself and I became real estate agent to invest in homes.

Want a new challenge so I'm interested in real estate law/environmental law.

I have worked solely on my own businesses/real estate for last 3 years. before that I worked few years in ibanking for morgan stanley but quit for family reasons

Really only want to apply to the best schools possible. Money isn't that important to me so it's either top 20 hopefully or bust.

Any recommendations on which schools to look at?

I think UMN would be okay but I'm not sure of their presence in chicagoland. Family here has over 20 properties and probably don't want to venture too far unless the school has opportunities in chicago

None of the above unless you get a significant scholarship.

You have a shot at Northwestern and Georgetown.

You have a slight chance at Michigan. You are 50/50 WL/Deny at UVA.
