152 3.19
I am a male and I have taken the lsat 3 times. I got a 141 when I didnt study, a 146 when I studied a little, and a 152 when I took the whole Summer off to study. I was scoring in the high 150s low 160s so I do not know WTF happened on test day and how I got a horrible 152. With that being said what schools should I apply to?
I am a year and a half out of college. I did an AmeriCorps program and work experience from my current job

Almost.... TCR is more likely take a little time off and get some good WE until you can in fact retake. Then, spend some of the $$ you make in those years getting some serious study help.usfvictor wrote:i can tell you now, there will be one answer on TLS. Retake.
Depending on where you are from and what your goals are, there MAY be a handful of schools that will take you now that are worth attending but you would be attending at sticker so I would still say the above idea is a better route.

There may be a Master's in Education in your future.
Why law school ? Have you considered taking the GMAT or the GRE or do you already have a political job lined up that requires a JD ? I know that my comments are a bit harsh, but your numbers (141,146 & 152/3.19) combined with admitted laziness suggest that law, or at least law school, may not be the most suitable path for you.

Retake or dont go.
Dont apply anywhere with a 152.

I would consider a Master's program in something. Then maybe you can think about going to law school then.CanadianWolf wrote:There may be a Master's in Education in your future.

If you're adamant about law school, maybe part time could be an option for you?

Re: 152 3.19
I am leaning towards a retake. It wouldn't be till next October. If I have a 160 or higher then I know that I will get into all the schools I want, and with money. I am a shoe-in for the Miami Scholars program at UM, but I have to score a 160 or higher (I have some connections within the program, and I did a public service program). What prep test classes do you recommend?
I took Kaplan but I didn't feel like it helped much. I only got results on PT's from endless practice and repetition. I have heard good things about Test Masters but I am worried that it will be as little help as Kaplan was to me. Honestly I'm hesitant to retake and possibly be discouraged once more. However, I didn't feel my poor score was down to nerves on test day. I've scored high before and I treat the PT's to real conditions as much as possible.
In the meantime, I am considering the GRE for a masters. But if nothing pans out then retaking the law exam again next Fall is looking likely another possibility.
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
