Any chance at WUSTL with these numbers? I could probably bump the LSAT up by retaking in December, but let's ignore that can of worms.

Possible. Law school predictor says no, but law school numbers paints a different picture. Worst case scenario you are looking at a wait list and eventually you will probably get in if you stick it out. However I wouldn't expect much in terms of financial aid, but you never know how these things will turn out.

Your strength is in your story. How well can you explain the low ugpa?

Personal problems is what the explanation boils down to; my transcript is mostly A's and F's, which are clustered around a particular period. Personal growth since the rough patch is part of my personal statement.pahuber2 wrote:Your strength is in your story. How well can you explain the low ugpa?

Wouldn't say the bolded is true. Similar story to the OP- GPA was slightly better but not appreciably so and same LSAT. Got $18k/year. With the downturn in apps, you should apply early (as in now) but you stand a good chance of acceptance and possibly some merit aid. WUSTL has always been friendly to splitters, and with less overall applicants to law school and less high LSATs to go around, they really can't afford to turn you away. The better question is whether you should attend WUSTL at sticker or even on a smallish scholly, but I'm a 1L so I'll reserve comments about jobs to those who know more (but I do know not it's not pretty). Feel free to PM me with questions OP.RickyRoe wrote:Possible. Law school predictor says no, but law school numbers paints a different picture.
