I actually find this calculatar vague for certian numbers, and its my least favorite to use. You could always not read the "What Are My Chances" if you are annoyed by these type of questions.

You should carpet bomb their threads with links to LSN, someone will end up doing it anyway

"What are my chances?" threads are about as useful as "Checking in" comments

I'm guilty but especially those of us with borderline numbers like the human input that lsn doesn't offer.

People that are actually getting offended at 0Ls posting in the "What are my chances" forum less than 24 hours (12 for some) after the LSAT release need to seriously examine the way their life is headed.

This. While there's very little that posters here can tell you that LSN can't, I empathize with them. The 24 hours after receiving your LSAT score can be just as nerve racking as the 24 hours before it; it really is a life changing moment. I would go easy on them and excuse their anxiety; they'll eventually learn that LSN has all the info that they'll need.

It is a what are my chances thread. Yes LSN has a lot of info, but this cycle is allegedly going to continue the recent trend of being slightly better, thus human input is incredibly important. Regardless, it is a what are my chances thread on a forum about law school.

Then those people can waste their time coddling, and the rest of us can move on to the way more important threads on TLS, like this one.CorkBoard wrote:They won't if people coddle to their dumb posts.moonman157 wrote:While there's very little that posters here can tell you that LSN can't, I empathize with them. It's life changing in the sense that if I eat Chipotle I'm gonna need to poop in an hour is life changing.moonman157 wrote:While there's very little that posters here can tell you that LSN can't, I empathize with them. You can retake the LSAT but not your 1L grades or your choice of 2L SA (if any).

Then why does this forum even exist? Should TLS just eliminate the "What are my chances?" forum altogether? If it exists, people WILL post here, like it or not.

Re: Stop shitting up the New Posts List- Use LSN
This is one of the most important tests a lawyer will take in his/her life and the consequences of that simple score have an incredible bearing on one's life. If this is your third time taking it, then it is life changing. If you have to retake, there's a few more months, if not a year if you wait a cycle, that has changed for you. Plus, no matter what they hear from anonymous strangers over the internet, most of them won't retake and will apply with the score they just got. And if you scored above what you expected, it can be life changing as well. I was practice testing around 166-170 and fully expected that I would eventually settle for a score in that range. I predicted that I would score around a 165 my first test. Got a 174. A little better than a Chipotle burrito, as much as I love Chipotle.rad lulz wrote:It's life changing in the sense that if I eat Chipotle I'm gonna need to poop in an hour is life changing.moonman157 wrote:While there's very little that posters here can tell you that LSN can't, I empathize with them.
