Re: Decide the rest of my life for me
Honestly, it stinks but I would aim to retake next Juneeligator9 wrote:Not really, but opinions never hurt.
3.2 gpa, found out about a 162 today, which sucks because I was PTing high 160s/low 170s. Not thrilled about the concept of a retake (definitely wouldn't do Dec., would consider February..otherwise wait a year or two).
The schools I'm now looking to apply to are W&L, UNC, Florida, Case Western, and LUC (was hoping to apply to Mich, Emory, GW, Vandy before I got my LSAT score).
I know about the job prospects and I've read plenty about how much not attending a T14 sucks, but I'm willing to be one of the suckers. Case Western would likely be free (or close to it) for me because of family ties to the school.
Also, consider: I have a full-time job lined up at ESPN that I could start in summer. I obviously wouldn't mind working there for a bit before giving this another shot. Also think I'll have a decent shot at TFA (not going to assume anything, but let's assume I get it for shits and giggles).
Really appreciate the advice in advance, everyone. Cheers.

Fair assessment and pretty much what I'd expect to hear. Would it be worth it to try February, see if I do get the 168-172 I'd been PTing at, and try and sneak into a top 25 school?Br3v wrote:

You could try in Feb but I would wait until the next cycle to applyeligator9 wrote:Fair assessment and pretty much what I'd expect to hear. Would it be worth it to try February, see if I do get the 168-172 I'd been PTing at, and try and sneak into a top 25 school?Br3v wrote:

I would trade identities with you. You could have my spot at a decent law school and I get the ESPN job. Deal?

Okay. However, I'd like to add in the stipulation that I receive the pasta bar from ESPN cafeteria every Tuesday.Tom Joad wrote:I would trade identities with you. You could have my spot at a decent law school and I get the ESPN job. Deal?

Looks like you are in the same boat I'm in. 3.25 GPA, 162. Was PTing upper 160's. Thinking about retaking in February.
