3.9/162 with other factors
Trying to go Georgetown ED... I know I bombed the LSAT, and getting lower than your diagnostic is never fun, but hey moving on! So along with my numbers (from an elite liberal arts college, know that doesnt matter much but still), I also played division 1 football for 4 years- I know thats not a huge deal, but its gotta help a bit, no? Anyway... what are my chances???

You're going to need to retake to at least a 167+ in order to have a shot at GULC

Re: 3.9/162 with other factors
A) I love D.C., wanna work there and live my life there
B) The only places I'd rather go would be HYS or Columbia, maybe NYU but even if I had hit 168 those would've been outta my reach.
c) Wanna do Int'l law, and Georgetown is tied with Harvard at #3
d) also, just really loved it when i visited
e) I messed up my LSATs, so even with the 3.9 I would be lucky to get in

ftfy - I'm kidding, but you could be competitive for a full-ride at GW with a re-take. Or get $$ from Georgetownjetsfan1 wrote:A) I love D.C., wanna work there and live my life there

Re: 3.9/162 with other factors
Too long to explain. Just do a little research on the topic. In summary, just don't ED to Georgetown, especially with a 3.9. I don't think you have an idea what you're getting yourself into.
Unless, you're independently rich, of course. Even then, it's still a terrible idea.

Re: 3.9/162 with other factors
Thanks? I've done tons of research, and if I had done well on my LSATs I would've gone regular, but Georgetown is where I wanna be outside of HYS Columbia/NYU, and I got no chance there. Money obviously matters a ton, but I don't see any other options... A 162 isn't getting me in regular I don't care how high my GPA is- therefore, makes sense to go ED for a better chance- I think thats a pretty accurate assessment, no?

Re: 3.9/162 with other factors
You don't have to go to law school.
You can also retake.
A lot of people would want to be on a beach in California, but borrowing ridiculous amounts to go to Pepperdine (or w/e) is obviously not a great idea.
I don't think you've done much research.
Your gpa matters because most people can't change their gpa. You can change your LSAT score. In any case, you should ED if you feel it's in your best interest.
I feel like all this is pointless. Unless people start jumping off bridges, many OL's will simply fail to get the point. Or ignore it, when they do.
