162/3.43 Should I retake, or am I good?
I got a 162 on the June LSAT (got royally screwed by the games, would have gotten a 170 if I had matched my performance on the other sections) and I'm sitting with a 3.3-3.4ish GPA after this semester from a fairly prestigious private school.
Goals: Fordham, Boston College, Northwestern, etc.
Should I retake, or just roll with what I have?
Additionally, I'm currently living in Denver, but have ambition to go to NYC. However, I'm just a little bit cautious of dealing with the outrageous standard of living there. Do you think it would be smarter to go with a CU Boulder/DU type degree and just hope to be in the top 10-20% to score a sweet job in Denver, and if so, what are my chances at making 130-160 when I graduate.
Sorry for the questions, I'm not naive, just looking for some guidance.

With that GPA you will probably need a 167+ to be a considered at Fordham and BC. 170+ for NW

I agree with this. (162 is very low for Fordham.)TheThriller wrote:With that GPA you will probably need a 167+ to be a considered at Fordham and BC. 170+ for NW

I had the same GPA and 162 the first time I took the LSAT. I retook and got a 165, but I was still only waitlisted at Fordham. I would definitely recommend you retake - the games are the most learnable section of the test. Best of luck!

BC's median dropped to 164. I honestly don't think they would turn down a 166/167 that went along with anything above a 3.0.

Their 25/50/75 GPA this year was 3.36/3.54/3.67, so an LSAT of 162 might get a read-through on the way to the shredder. A 167+, being above their 75% might even get $5k or $10k from them - if OP gets in.TheThriller wrote:With that GPA you will probably need a 167+ to be a considered at Fordham and BC. 170+ for NW
Retake. 2 or 3 more points would definitely strengthen your chances, while 4 or more is the difference between possibly and probably.
