3.62, Dec LSAT
My GPA is 3.62, I'm taking the LSAT in December. What score do I have to get for T6 schools? Am I out at YHS b/c of my GPA no matter what I score? Also, planning to work for a year or two before I apply. Softs/LORs decent but probably won't make me stand out.

Have you tried looking at http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com? It is a really fun tool and it will answer all of your questions!
I think your out of HYS without a 175.
I think you can get T6 with 173.

Yes, I've spent way to much time inputting potential scores into that website. I got a 178 on my first practice exam, but I don't know if I can replicate that on the actual test, I've heard people don't do as well on the real thing as on practices.noobishned wrote:Have you tried looking at http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com? I've heard the same thing.. In my opinion, it all comes down to whether or not you are a good test-taker. Some people have the ability to go in unprepared and do amazingly well. Others get nervous and fail miserably. It depends.

LSP is pretty worthless. This example provides a case in point: A non-URM with a 3.62 GPA has essentially zero chance of getting into YS, regardless of LSAT.noobishned wrote:Have you tried looking at http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com? Spend time looking at LSN and myLSN for much more useful info.
A 171 will give you a good shot at NYU; you're basically a lock with a 172. A 172 gives you a very good shot at CLS. Chicago, with its small class, is harder to predict, but a 172 puts it in play.

Harvard is more in play now than it was 2-3 years ago for someone with that GPA, but it's still a long shot. And it only becomes a long shot if you get close to a 180, otherwise forget it.
