3.72 165 K-JD

Post by akasabian » Thu Sep 13, 2012 4:16 pm

Stats as listed in the thread topic.
GPA: 3.72
LSAT: 165 (debating retake but for the purpose of right now let's hear it with just 165)
K-JD
Non-URM

Looking at lower T-14 (Plus Berkeley, Davis, UCLA)
Thoughts?

If you're considering Davis you should consider Hastings (and probably UCI as well). If you're considering UCLA you should consider USC.

Almost no chance at the lower t14 friendo. Definitely use that retake if you really want to get into that school range.

Is that GPA set in stone (as in, have you officially graduated)?

Retaking is definitely worth your time. A few more right answers and you're in the T-14 or getting major $$$ to other schools.

Really? He seems to be in range for Boalt and UVA, NU if he has WE. Just going by http://www.top-law-schools.com/rankings.html
Unless his LSAC GPA is going to be lower or something

Yea the GPA is the one thing set in stone.
Anyway thanks for the advice! I've felt a bit better about it as I've studied more for the October test occasionally, so I think I'll definitely take that opportunity to retest

Boalt- 5 accepts, 32 rejects
UVA- 0 accept, 25 deny, 8 waitlist (LOL at UVA ever taking anyone below both medians)
NU- 1 accept, 7 deny, 9 waitlist

Did you even click the link haha?

I echo the retake advice. A 165 really is not enough with that GPA.
