I think T14 is unlikely given the score. Is it possible to sit out a cycle until you can retake again?

what exactly is the difference between being a 33 year old lawyer and a 34 year old lawyer?k070047 wrote:i'm 29 yrs old so i think it's too late to wait until next cycle.emkay625 wrote:I think T14 is unlikely given the score. Is it possible to sit out a cycle until you can retake again?![]()

You most definitely won't get any of the T14 this year, unfortunately, and honestly, you're gonna have a tough time getting those schools, since as an international student, schools are even more LSAT heavy.

You're right. There's no big difference.
How about UT/UCLA/USC/VANDY?

Check out the median of LSAT of each school you are looking at. Your LSAT should be at or above the median in order to be competitive...That's what I heard from TLS

The problem lies in the fact that your gpa cannot be calculated into the class median, so they really care about your LSAT score, almost exclusively. I mean, we don't have as much of a sample to consider as with most applicants, but based on what I've seen/heard, it doesn't look good for you at schools who's LSAT medians are 166 and up.k070047 wrote:@JamMasterJJamMasterJ wrote:what exactly is the difference between being a 33 year old lawyer and a 34 year old lawyer?k070047 wrote:i'm 29 yrs old so i think it's too late to wait until next cycle.emkay625 wrote:I think T14 is unlikely given the score. I understand you're probably a little upset that you'll have to wait out another year, but you can't treat your cycle like you're a domestic applicant. Some domestic applicants with similar or higher gpas and 165s might have snuck by into the T-14 this cycle, but it's unlikely you would be able to.

No real chance. Texas is the most likely, and explain your softs. Also, reference law school predictors from a conservative perspective. If it says 50%, assume it is less, and expect no scholarship. I am in a similar situation with a 164 and 3.93, and accept the fact that I will most likely not be accepted to UT, and if I am, will be paying out my ass for it.
