3.9/176
Undergraduate- University of Alabama: Dual Major (Classics and Political Science). I attended UA Law briefly and withdrew for personal reasons. I retook the LSAT in June and scored a 176. I'd taken it once before and scored a 164. What are my chances at T14 schools?

From the numbers you seem golden for T-14. All you need to do now is apply and see what happens.

I don't imagine the having attended LS once before throwing a wrench in things, if we presume it does not, then I see you having your pick at any school with the exception of Yale but I think even that is not out of the question. Y and S will depend primarily on your softs.

I retook from a 164 to a 176 and did pretty well and your GPA destroys mine, so I would say your chances are pretty solid. best of luck.

Out of curiosity, what did your admissions cycle turn out like? I haven't taken the LSAT yet, but my golden goal would be a 176 (my GPA is a 3.73). Just curious what that kind of LSAT will net me if I can achieve it.Take Two wrote:I retook from a 164 to a 176 and did pretty well and your GPA destroys mine, so I would say your chances are pretty solid. best of luck.

That LSAT gets you HYS and money at CCN. But it means shit until you have an actual score.

A 176 does not get you HYS. Go to TLS Stats; less than half the 176s were admitted at Yale/Stanford.NoodleyOne wrote:That LSAT gets you HYS and money at CCN. But it means shit until you have an actual score.

Edit: I actually think you were referring to that LSAT alone. In which case you're right - but I think that NoodleyOne had an implicit "with that gpa" between "LSAT" and "gets".

Re: 3.9/176
Actually if you consider the 3.7 gpa it's even worse. On TLS Stats, it's 1/5 at Y, 1/3 at S, and even at H it's 1/6. I'm sure a 176/3.7 gives you a decent shot at H, but it seems chances are very low for YS (as is true for pretty much anyone).

Sorry didnt see this tell just now. But noodly is about on the mark, though I was waitlisted at Chi. Im going to C with some money. Was straight reject at Y didnt apply to S and am stilling sitting on the waitlist at H. Got in to most other t-14, a number with some money. My advice just get a 180. hahaechamberlin8 wrote:Out of curiosity, what did your admissions cycle turn out like? I haven't taken the LSAT yet, but my golden goal would be a 176 (my GPA is a 3.73).
