How much does undergrad prestige count? Forum

Okay, so I know that people are going to write off my post because I don't have any LSAT numbers, but I've been really concerned about how my school choice will affect my chances of getting into a desirable law school.
I have a good enough GPA (a 3.8~, and it seems I'll be able to be able to raise it in the two years I have left!) I am a double major and minor and am taking a couple languages. I've been taking LSAT prep tests and have been doing pretty well (mid-160s for my pre-studying stats) and I am a good test taker and devoted to studying.
My only problem is that my school is in the tier 1 schools... barely. It's the third ranked public school and some people have gone on to good law schools (Georgetown, Duke, Northwestern, etc.) Honestly, it was a breeze to get into my university and there are a lot of unmotivated students there. I just have the gut feeling that I'm going to be that random yellow or red dot on Law School Numbers on the top of the chart, or else I'm not be able to afford to send myself to anywhere decent. I definitely want to go first tier, but t25 would be incredible.
My real question is this: how much do you all think undergrad prestige matters? Would taking a couple years off and working improve my chances of money and acceptances? Where would you suggest me to consider? What LSAT should be my goal? Thanks.

What UG you attend doesnt matter. No. Impossible to suggest anything with out a score. 180.

Your UG doesn't matter at all. Focus on getting a 4.0 the rest of your academic career and don't jeopardize that. Get a 170+ and you're looking at half-to-full scholarships at T14 schools.
