167 & 4.06
Hi, I took the June LSAT and got 167. I know a lot of you would recommend retaking the test. I'm also planning to take the October LSAT but plan to apply early in the cycle with the current scores and send the scores from the October LSAT later on. My LORs and softs aren't outstanding but okay.
Do you have any suggestions regarding where to ED? Also, what are my chances at other T14 schools?
Thanks!

You're looking good at the lower t14, but if you can raise that LSAT 3 points, you're looking at CCN.

Yeah, and if you do, you should throw in apps to HYS just to see what happens. Retake is a wise decision.Bedsole wrote:You're looking good at the lower t14, but if you can raise that LSAT 3 points, your looking at CCN

You'll get at least one of virginia/Cornell/boalt/mich. retaking could be a smart idea.dpk711 wrote:Yeah, and if you do, you should throw in apps to HYS just to see what happens. Why would you ED when you're retaking? And why would you send out apps before the October results? You'd gain way more by just waiting and submitting the day you get your score back. There's basically no difference between submitting in September and October, but a huge difference between a 167 and a 170 etc.

Don't ED if you're retaking. If you get 170+ plus on the retake HYS are in your sights. Send apps in early, but make sure to note for the schools that you're a reach at (HYS CCN) that you're retaking in Oct so they hold your app and wait for your new score.
Right now you're a WL at CCN.
